All Voices is a new venture, set up in 2019. We work to ensure that 'all voices' are heard and supported within both the justice sector and society more generally.
We particularly support the reform of the justice system, children's rights and disability rights.
I provide expert communication assessment services regarding children and young people with complex behavioural and/or communication needs. Recent reports have included:
Intermediaries provide communication support during legal proceedings to ensure that communication with vulnerable witnesses/parties is complete, coherent and accurate. I can provide;
Direct Speech and Language Therapy in the with children and young people in the Sussex area, with specialisms in the fields of:
I am a speech and language therapist and Registered Intermediary, based in the South East of England.
I have worked as a speech and language therapist since 2003. specialising in autism, learning disabilities and challenging behaviour, working in both school and home settings. I have also worked as a Registered Intermediary since I qualified in 2008, facilitating communication between witnesses with complex needs at police interview and at trial.
Before setting up All Voices, I was a Co-Director of Triangle between 2017 to 2019, also leading both the Expert Opinion and Investigative Interviewing Service. Triangle is a national, specialist organisation that provides intermediaries and interviewers for young people within the justice system. Through this work I developed experience acting as a specialist child interviewer, leading child-centred pre-recorded cross examinations for Family Court proceedings. This work has been described in court judgements as “entirely child focused and enormously helpful”.
I chaired the re-write of The Advocate's Gateway's (TAG) toolkit on cross examining witnesses with autism. This toolkit is used nationally and internationally to provide guidance to courts about questioning autistic witnesses and defendants. I am also on the TAG committee.
I also regularly train police officers and social workers in interviewing children for legal proceedings. I provide training nationally and internationally on the topics of disability and communication, including being invited to provide training to High Court Judges in Delhi in 2018 on the topics of child interviewing and intermediaries.
My full CV is available on demand for court proceedings.
